President Kennnedy Library was stablished in February,1964 with assistance from the people of United State of America and was officially opened on 4th April 1964.The Library is committed to the support the overall vision,mission,and program of the Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria. Our commitment is demonstrated via the production and maintenance of library services geared towards retrieval,acquisition,preservation and dissemination of information in its various forms.
The Library's services and collections are entirely dedicated to support the A.B.U community of faculties, researchers, students, and staff. It also provides the opportunity for external researchers and postgraduates to request the use of its extensive catalog of books and journals. We provide excellent internet connectivity and efficient online access to our rich e-resources and digital content through our advanced information and communication technology-based facilities. Our patrons have a wide variety of access routes to conduct expert research and retrieve relevant resources. It contains a hybrid collection of printed materials, and other e-resources such as e-journals, e-books, electronic theses & dissertations (ETD), technical reports of research organizations, and bibliographic databases. Our well-trained staffs are pleased to offer their expertise in answering your inquiries about any library-related issues. We look forward to serving you and welcome your comments and suggestions.
The end of the year get-together took place in February,2019 in Recource Processing Division. People in attendance include the University Librarian, former Dean of Faculty of Administration, Prof. Bello Sabo, CILS Libarian, Mal. Garba Muhammad, Comrade Abdullah Baba Shani from Law Library and many other guests.

Library staff/Students Forum meeting was also scheduled to take place in December, 2017.Due to the industrial action by non-academic staff, the program is postponed till further notice.
